Pedagogy

Nyborg, M. (1993) The study of how to provide optimum conditions of learning for persons who may differ widely in pre-requisites for learning. Haugesund, Norway: Nordisk Undervisningsforlag. 499 pages

This is Magne Nyborg’s seminal work on what pedagogy is, and how knowledge about pedagogy can be used in the daily teaching work. He presentates a complete pedagogy that build on the works of many international known pedagoges, as well as his own works. This is a very challenging book to read, focusing more on the theoretical foundations of SCT and the CTM with a minimal focus on its practical application to everyday teaching. Use link below to access the book site. Online access to the free e-book of Pedagogy is provided by the Norwegian National Library and is available for all IP-addresses. Note: The reader should be aware that this is an extremely challenging book to read and comprehend.
